Ken Kahtava, EVP, Strategic Officer

Disruptive business models and technologies have defined Ken's professional career. Today, his passion for innovation and diverse entrepreneurial experience drives his leadership and work at NorthStream Global Partners.

Throughout his 25 year career, as a Public Relations Specialist in the U.S. Air Force, as a VP of Business Development for Hallmark Cards, as founder of NLM Marketing (an online marketing technology company that served some giants in the early days of the Internet) or as as a senior executive for a global non-profit disease advocacy organization, Ken has always leveraged pioneering technologies and new business models to overcome emerging business challenges.

In 2010, Ken helped architect a crowdsourcing new business model that facilitates pragmatic collaboration between all stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem, from patients to caregivers, healthcare professionals to pharmaceutical companies, scientists to public and private health stakeholders, focused on overcoming the many barriers to prevention and wellness. Called HealthSourcing, the crowdsourcing platform employed a multi-faceted approach to facilitate multi-stakeholder engagement in the prevention of chronic disease and accelerate results to all stakeholders. Inspired by the urgent needs of people suffering from many rare and underserved diseases, Ken launched a consulting business in 2010, with a mission to bring life-changing therapies to patients by helping life sciences clients harness the what he beleives to be the four disruptive forces in the industry - big data, emerging technologies, radical collaboration and innovative business modeling.

In 2012, Ken and Richard Nordstrom merged their respective companies to form NorthStream Global Partners to leverage their collective experience and bring innnovative solutions to the contemporary hurdles facing today's life sciences and healthcare industries.
